What to do with this prolific green vegetable besides hide it in a smoothie? Chefs Joe and Amanda will show you four delicious dishes featuring kale as itself:

Savory Kale Chips
Balsamic Kale Salad with Pine Nuts and Raisins
Hearty Kale, White Bean and Sausage Soup
Kale and Mushroom Empanadas

Participants get a sample of each and the printed recipes.

Cooking classes are open to all LBO members and their guests, though as always, donations are appreciated. Minimum LBO membership is $25 per year, and can be paid at the event.
