Here are the best ways to plug in and support our mission!
Our new volunteer hub, FoodHeroLBC.com, connects you to opportunities in local food distribution, community gardens and urban farms, and education and internships in local food sustainability in Long Beach.
One of the best ways to tap into the local food equity movement is to show up at community events! We keep a list of interactive community events that LB Fresh is involved in, and hope to see you at one!
Long Beach Fresh has hosted working groups for Compost, Nutrition Security, School Food, and Micro-Enterprise. In these groups, we focus on generating solutions that involve policy change, peer support, and program development.
We also have internal advisory committee to help with our organization, from event planning and communications to sustaining the local food movement. We are always interested in adding new members.

Stay tuned for upcoming project updates, opportunities and general news.
Many of our efforts have come from community-sourced ideas – We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to start something that you don’t see reflected on our site.
